The “print-at-home” ticket enables internet customers to generate an access medium on their own computer after placing an online reservation.

Whether at home, at the workplace or while travelling, a bar code ticket can be conveniently printed out at any time. The barcode contains all transaction data relating to the facility, start and finish date, multiple use where relevant and serial number etc. This encoding system even enables the barcode to be recognised at the entry when the parking facility is temporarily offline, thereby increasing availability as well as guaranteeing customer satisfaction.

As the customer enters the parking facility, the print-out is held in front of the scanner of the control device. The barcode is scanned and checked against the status “Customer has paid online” which is saved in the system. In order to enable reliable processing of this parking transaction within the system, a ticket swap is initiated at this point: depending on the product purchased online, either a pre-paid parking ticket is issued for one-off use or a season ticket for multiple use.
