FareGo can provide a full archive and purge service using a separate archive server that not only maintains the live system at its best but also provides easy access for any analysis and reporting that is required on the historic data.
Database Administration
Key to the effectiveness of a modern fare collection system is the database that contains the vital information necessary both to operate and to analyse the data that the system creates. Effective administration of the database to ensure that any problems are identified and dealt with quickly and effectively to ensure that the customer system experiences the minimum downtime possible are an essential part of the activity. Scheidt & Bachmann service team members undertake regular analysis of the database to meet customer demand efficiently.
Field Device Monitoring
Scheidt & Bachmann provide a field device monitoring system that delivers everything from an easy to use GUI for its customers to view the status of an individual device through to the ability of Help Desk and support staff to not only monitor but also diagnose faults quickly and effectively through a series of automated notification messages.
Reporting
The FareGo Data Reporting module allows customers to easily access the substantial amounts of data that a modern fare collection system creates. Device status, operational performance and transaction data is all captured in the central database. With its global long term experience of delivering automatic fare collection systems, Scheidt & Bachmann is able to provide not only a wide range of pre-configured automated reports and user interfaces to allow customers to manipulate the data themselves but also a full report administration service, from report creation and checking through to secure delivery to a designated person.
Server Monitoring
Scheidt & Bachmann has developed a monitoring system that provides round the clock protection by monitoring between 80 and 120 parameters essential to the continuation of the fare collection system service. Automatic notification of any change in the monitored parameters that is outside the operating norm means that the service team can respond quickly and effectively to any unexpected change in status.
Smart Card Management
Smart Cards are becoming more and more popular as fare systems media: they are easy to use, robust and, above all, flexible. FareGo Data has modules that allow the administration of cards and customers as well as delivering self-service solutions on the internet.

Software Rollout
Scheidt & Bachmann operate a comprehensive programme of software management that ensures that roll out of updates, bug fixes and, if appropriate, upgrades, are delivered through remote control processes. For our customers, who also receive detailed release notes when needed, the update functions ensure that they know their devices and systems are always up to date.
