The education of young people has been the highest priority at Scheidt & Bachmann for decades. It is the guarantee that excellent young scientists Scheidt & Bachmann lasting shape.
As our business trainees get to know our technical trainees selected manufacturing and business sectors. Important is the close link between theoretical and practical course content and the areas of training itself.
There are many interfaces between technical and commercial areas In our company. To promote cross functional and technical understanding, our business trainees attend courses in the training workshop and vice versa.

Co-operational Education programs
Theory and practical phases alternate in the co-operational education program. After eight semesters of college study these students possess extensive practical experience in addition to the bachelor's degree. These students also have the foundation for a successful career start at Scheidt & Bachmann and have been busy building their network within the company. All of these things set a great basis for starting in a successful future together.

Apprenticeships We offer our young Staff a high level of training and strive for the best conditions within our company. We want them to build a solid foundation in order to qualify for the next steps in their education. This includes not only the provision of modern teaching materials, but also confidence in young people and their skills. We believe that one grows with challenges and fails forward. We want all of our employees to bring 100% to the table. For this reason, our students are involved early in projects and execute individual steps independently. Apprentices in all divisions learn to recognize problems and to independently and creatively develop solutions. Scheidt& Bachmann provides all the support they need in the process. We are confident that these are good conditions to help the young discover their talents and abilities and develop them in a targeted manner. The many awards received over the years by our apprentices and for our program lead us to believe that we are on the right path with our concept.

Apprenticeship - Electronics Technician for devices and systems

Electronics Technician for devices and systems

For an electronics technician for devices and systems the world of electronic devices revolves around the development, modeling and application of electronic components. 

Electronics technician for devices and systems produce components and equipment, put them into operation and maintain them.

Their applications can be:

• Information and communication devices
• Automotive systems
• System components
• sensors and actuators and
• units of measurement and testing technology

The curriculum at Scheidt & Bachmann is based on the training plan and mainly on the requirements of everyday life. Therefore we include a tour of various departments in the training plan in addition to learning technical skills in our training workshop,

After completion of training as an electronics technician for devices and systems, there are many possible futures with Scheidt & Bachmann. Typical areas of activity include printed circuit board manufacturing and testing, building of electrical fixtures, development and final testing and various areas of development. The world of electronic devices at Scheidt & Bachmann is large and incredibly diverse.

 

Apprenticeship - Industrial Mechanic Application (Small Machinery)

Industrial Mechanic

Fine motor skills are a core requirement for Industrial Mechanics. Working with small parts and pieces requires a combination of patience and technical skill.

The combination of mechanical, pneumatic and electronic components create a high demand for precise work and knowledge in various fields.

Industrial Mechanics of small machinery work in the areas of production and maintenance of von components, devices & systems.

Activities may include the manufacture, assembly, testing, maintenance, inspection and repair of

• adjusting-, measuring-, weighing- and counting devices
• equipment, auxiliary equipment manufacturing and assembly
• mechanical components and electrical equipment and installations
• electronic office equipment

These varied areas of capabilities are reflected in the many operations with Scheidt & Bachmann. You can find Industrial Mechanics in all mechanic areas and assembly processes.

 

Apprenticeship - Mechatronic

Mechatronic

Mechatronics systems combine mechanical, electronic and computer-related components to improve the performance of classical systems and to implement completely new functions.

Mechatronics work with complex machines, equipment and systems in plant and machinery, and with mechatronic systems. Applicable Areas are:

• Mounting
• the maintenance and
• the service

Mechatronic systems is the connection of mechanical, electrical and electronic components. These can be found in all of our business areas. In addition, hardware and software components of computer systems are connected to mechatronic systems.

Mechatronics gain extensive knowledge in their training in the fields of mechanics, electronics and data processing.

At Scheidt & Bachmann this means excellent chances of future employment after your apprenticeship to work in one of the many areas of the company that use mechatronic systems.

Our mechatronics are appreciated above all in the field service and as a help desk employees as they are intimately familiar with the problems of customers in the field and can diagnose, troubleshoot and fix errors quickly. We also employ many mechatronics in the assembly of complex systems.

 

Apprenticeship - Industrial Business Sales & Administration

Industrial Business Sales&Administration

 Through the vocational training with Scheidt & Bachmann you will acquire extensive knowledge and skills pertaining to the planning, implementation and control of industrial sales.

You will alternate between different departments for six to twelve weeks and are actively involved in the work processes. Soon you will be able to recognize the connections between the different functional areas and apply the knowledge from the vocational school training and previous training phases. Both during and after your training in industrial business and sales, you could support the following administrative areas:

• Financial Accounting
• Audit
• Human Resources
• Marketing / Sales Areas
• Purchasing / MRP
• Materials Management

While small-businesses often have compressed functional areas with a company like Scheidt & Bachmann you’ll get to know the different functional areas in detail. With the regular rotation within departments you’ll get an in depth understanding of the varied activities of industrial businesses and the design of the structure with the company.

At the end of the three-year training you will take the Final Exam with the Chamber of Commerce Middle Lower Rhine (CCI). The test is divided into written and practical parts. The written part is about business processes, management and control and economics and social studies. In the practical part, you present a thesis and face the examination committee for a technical discussion. We fully support you in your preparation for the final examination in industrial business Sales & Administration. As part of the work study we reinforce materials taught at vocational school and help our student learn presentation techniques for the practical part of the test. In addition, our students receive intensive English instruction. This can be good preparation for the final hurdle to tackle the final exam confidently.
