This year’s Automechanika was themed: our solutions, your advantage! With new solutions and innovations around the petrol station business, Scheidt & Bachmann clearly demonstrated its comprehensive portfolio of products and showcased new innovative industry leading technology to existing and prospective customers, prompting great interest and positive feedback.

The smallest petrol station in the world – The main talking point at automechanika in Frankfurt.

With our inflatable Clou we presented an unusual sign post to our stand. Highly visible placed in the staircase of Messe Frankfurt, the Clou with a hight of 3 meters carried a big poster with our stand number in hall 10.0. So every visitor was well informed about our position on the fair.

Unmanned Sites
Especially well received were our products for unmanned sites and pay at pump. Visitors could participate in a live demonstration on our stand of the forwarding of so-called hot error messages to the Blackberry of our service technicians.

Remotely monitoring of the stations’ systems by our network control system at the central point in our headquarters in Mönchengladbach drew a lot of attention and interest.

Promotion Suite
To increase sales of petrol stations we presented our Promotion Suite to the visitors. With our new software module and new hardware components we allow each operator to plan and control all promotions very easily. No matter where the messages are shown, at the promotion display, at the POS or directly at the multimedia dispenser, at all times it is presented in an appealing manner directly in the vision of the customers.

Car 2 Enterprise and Fuel & Go
An insight to the future was provided, too. Innovations around mobile payment at the pump grabbed the interest and excited many of our visitors. The talking point was the red limousine on our stand. Via WLAN technology the car communicates with our petrol station management systems as it enters the forecourt using the WLAN connection the transaction is authorised at the pump and payment of fuelling is confirmed. Similar to this Car 2 Enterprise solution is our new Fuel & Go application for the iPhone. This means you can pay directly at the pump with the iPhone. With these new products the filling process will be much more convenient, faster and easier in the future.

Partner of the year 2008
We had prepared a special highlight at the fair for our long term business partners. During a partners dinner we honoured our “Partners of the year 2008” and thanked them for their contribution and continued success in the year ahead.
