The brand new facility located in Rome, Italy, was officially opened by Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH Managing Director Matthias Augustyniak and by Director Business Development Frithjof Struye on late summer 2006. Facilities include sales, technical and service support across Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH’s full range of FCS products and solutions.

The new subsidiary named Scheidt & Bachmann Italia srl is responsible for providing solutions and support to customers based in in addition to providing significant resources available to new and potential customers through the already established network.

Scheidt & Bachmann Italia srl is affiliated member of ASSTRA (Italian Association of PTOs) and full member of ClubItalia (Italia Association of FCS). The willingness to be a business partner rather than a simple provider underlines Scheidt & Bachmann Italia srl by supporting the first ASSTRA conference on transport and children in Venice on 10th November 2006 and the ASSTRA National Conference 2007 in Florence on 11th-14th April.

On the occasion of UITP International Exhibition on 21st - 24th May 2007 in Helsinki , Scheidt & Bachmann organised a business dinner for Italian delegates. The dinner was a very successful event having the kind participation along with Italian delegates leaded by ASSTRA President Mr. Marcello Panettoni and General Director Mr. Guido Del Mese, former UITP President Professor Dr. Wolfgang Meyer, current UITP President Mr. Roberto Cavalieri , UITP General Director Mr. Hans Rat and Mr. Matthias Augustyniak Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH Managing Director.
