Fare collection systems on the Polish market |
Scheidt & Bachmann Polska Sp. z.o.o. exists on the Polish market for 10 years, specialized in Parking systems and Signalling systems. A very dynamic development of the Polish transportation market within the last years as well as a demand for modern IT systems (IT platforms supported transport), resulted in opening our third Scheidt & Bachmann division in Warsaw at the beginning of the year 2007. The new unit expanded the scope of our current activities with modern Fare collection systems dedicated to public transportation.
Based on 30-years of experience in this market and an understanding for customers' needs, Scheidt & Bachmann Polska co-organized the scientific conference "Days of Railway Technology" in June 2007. This event enabled the participants getting to know more detailed the Polish modern trends on technology used in public transportation and its impact on a development of cities and regions. The wide circle of transport authorities, both from the governmental and science level, will rise issues of modern information transport systems and their models in particular agglomerations.
One of the goals of this conference was to bring out a constructive discussion between users and providers of transportation technology. Pawel Kania, the Business Unit Manager for the Fare collection systems in Poland mentions that "It brought us very valuable guidelines which enable us to recognize user's needs, so we are able to meet and find individual solutions for the Polish market." |
