The barcode system ''B'' is the lowest price solution for straightforward applications, based on the common system platform. The control medium used is a paper ticket cut from the roll at the entry point. A barcode and plain-text information are printed on it and it's then dispensed to the customer. The barcode tickets are provided with a printed barcode in accordance with the principle ''Interleaved 2 from 5 Code''. The barcode information includes a unique identification number, whose utilisation procedure is recognised at all levels and stages of the system at any time by an intelligent data distribution concept.
Its enormous benefit compared to other ''centralised'' systems is that when the barcode ticket is read by the automatic pay station, by the manual pay station POS or at the exit, the data exist already with no requirement to interrogate the master computer.
Thermal printing and read-only processing for the following usages make the barcode system highly stable leading to low operational and maintenance costs.
Based on the uniform system platform, all network technologies of the Car park management system family are fully available for the connection to higher-priority stages like master computers or clearing centres, as well as online support by the S&B hotline or by operator-owned service systems.
Supplementary modules permit cash-less payment media being used at the automatic pay station or directly at the entry or exit.
By the great number of standardised interfaces of the Car park management system family, it is possible to create intelligent connection to operational system environments.
Highlights:
• Standardised system platform in hardware and software
• Manifold interfaces for individual requirements
• Standardised barcode technology with plain technique and low operating and maintenance costs, with low-cost paper material from the roll
• Standard interfaces for further types of data mediumslike i.e. transponder, magnetic cards etc. |
