Workplaces on the Master Level

The master computer is the global centre in an integrated system with several locally or globally distributed car park facilities. It is provided with all central functions for the operative and administrative management of these facilities.
Practice already created very different constellations of integrated systems. The main differences are:

The distance between the master computer and the cell computer:

  • All cell computers, i.e. all facilities, are located in the vicinity of the master computer and are permanently connected by means of LAN (Local Area Network).
  • All cell computers, i.e. all facilities, are located far away from, may be globally distributed, and are connected by means of WAN (Wide Area Network) dial-in connections in public networks.
  • Some of the cell computers are connected with the master computer by means of LAN, the remaining cell computers are connected via WAN.

Note: In normal case, WAN connections are more expensive because every connection will be invoiced by the net provider. For that reason, the master computer offers a cost optimization by the possibility to send the data in bundles. The transmission delay can be configured according to the priority and the use of the data. Control interventions from the master level and important events will always be transmitted immediately.

We offer for small car park facilities and large-scale projects a modular management computer solution according to your needs and demands with:

  • flexible and highly-safe server systems – We offer the server system which meets your requirements, based on the basic elements of a professional server architecture: data security, availability, recoverability.
  • central database with automatic cost-optimized data comparison from and to the car park
  • integrated web server for browser-based workplaces
  • stationary and mobile workplaces
  • touch-screen workplaces for operative applications
  • integrated image and speech communication
  • integrated parking guidance system iPls (internal) and ePls (external)

Typical Components of the Master Level

LR … is the classic master computer, which does not need any other devices on the master level for normal applications.

LDS … is an optional database server with various performance classes according to different safety requirements. When a LDS… is used, the data server functionality is transferred from the LR… to the LDS….

LAR … is a separate workplace on the master level, which is connected with the master computer via LAN Ethernet (TCP/IP), using the master computer as database and network server.

TAR … is also a separate workplace on the master level, which is connected with the master computer in the LAN Ethernet (TCP/IP), using the master computer as database and network server. With its system-specifically configured Touch surface it is the optimum solution for the operative monitoring and control of the system(s).
