    Scheidt & Bachmann operates a separate repair and maintenance centre to provide reliable spare parts an exchange module services. The centre is equipped with quality inspection, serial number registration, a consumption dependent disposition and a logistical spare parts distribution. Spare part and exchange module service are also implementable in electronic ordering systems. The high quality of the spare parts and an immediate order handling assure a fast and reliable spare parts availability for the customer. By using the Scheidt & Bachmann-exchange module service the customer gets highest availability of his field devices. Faulty and attrited modules usually reach the same performance and operating hours after technical improvement as new modules. The possibility to give back faulty modules when buying improved ones makes the exchange module service even more commercial attractive for the customer.

    ELECTRONIC ORDERING SYSTEM

    FCS spare parts management supports the implementation of our spare parts catalogue in customers existing e-procurement systems (e.g. “Beka”-purchasing system, “M-Exchange”). Since 2007 our spare parts management provides an electronic spare parts catalogue CD in addition. The Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC) provides many useful features to the customer:

    • Part identification (part.-no., photos, drawings, 3D applikation)
    • Price calculation
    • Search function
    • Ordering function (creation of order form (pdf.) and table of order history)
    • Top ten history of the most ordered items

    The IPC follows the bill of material and therefore it is individual adapted for each costumer. This decreases the effort to find the required spare parts and prevents the ordering of incompatible modules.

     CONSIGNMENT STORE

    To assure the maximum of spare parts availability FCS spare parts management offers the the customer the option to establish a local spare parts stock in his company. Often a Consignment Store is established instantaneous after the purchase of a fare collection system, to ensure a spare parts availability of 100% within the length of warranty. The compensation for set up and operate the consignment store is the purchase by customer after the warranty time. FCS spare parts management also offers the rental of a consignment store independent from any warranty claims.
