For special cases of operation or for deviation from the regular operation, additional displaying and operating devices are applied in the electronic interlocking system ZSB 2000. For operating on site the so-called local operating devices are used. For this purpose, an HST module is used, which is also connected to the EBUS (element bus as CAN bus). Also key buttons and operation at the disposition and diagnosis system are possible.

Local display and operation can be provided for the purpose of maintenance and repair. The function of this device is restricted to the control area of the related ZSB 2000 system only and allows the requesting of routes. It is combined with the existing diagnosis system.

In case of departures from the regular operation (e. g. failure of the disposition) and if malfunctions occur, setting of routes on site or performing of auxiliary operations is enabled via an "intelligent help button“. This device is operated on site by the operation staff. Auxiliary operations can be carried out only in cooperation with the dispatcher.

In particular applications – e. g. AWANST passing/feeder track – a key locking can be installed at appropriate places (e. g. point). Upon release through the dispatcher, the service staff on site is enabled to set the route via key dependences.
