LED signal transmitters are applied in the interlocking system ZSB 2000. The control of the signals is carried out via the safe electronic module - LSS module – (light control module), which is installed at the signal. This module is connected to the EBUS (CAN bus) and controls the respectively transmitted signal aspects. Apart from the single light points also supplementary signals and speed limit signals can be controlled. In case of interruption of the connection to the interlocking control level a corresponding emergency management is processed in the LSS module.

LSS module

The different signal aspects are transmitted to the LSS module via the EBUS (CAN bus) from the control level. Via the SCAN bus (SignalCAN bus) the LSS bus then controls the different light points . Besides, through a parallel interface two PZB can directly be controlled.

Furthermore, the required PZB magnets with a 500/1000/2000 Hz signal can be controlled from the LSS module. The logical assignment of the signal aspect to the train control is given with the demand made by the respective signal aspect.

The light points of the main and advance signals are comprised to a signal group and are controlled through an LSS module by means of telegrams sent via the SCAN bus. Thus, each optics disposes of an own intelligence for the control and supervision of the respective light point.
