The control level of the interlocking system ZSB 2000 represents the safe data processing centre of the ZSB 2000. It consists of three modules (two communication modules and one route module) with a doubled computer system each. In addition, a service keyboard and a doubled program and installation data storage are arranged in the control level. In the control level only data are processed, no current is supplied.

Module processor

The module processor handles the safety-relevant functions for control and supervision in the respective module. The doubled modules of the field level are checked and diagnosis data are made available for the diagnosis level. This module is identical in construction with the module processor of the level crossing system BUES 2000.

ZPAS

The service keyboard enables requesting of information and activation of different actions of the installation via a four-line display and a keypad. Via a serial interface also project data can be read out. This module is identical in construction with the service keyboard of the level crossing system BUES2000.

Service keyboard

In addition to the generally applicable software, the integrated central program and installation storage (ZPAS) contains the data required for the respective application to be projected. On system start, the separate modules are correspondingly loaded with program and data. This module is identical in construction with the ZPAS of the level crossing system BUES2000.

The field level represents the fail-safe interlocking level of the ZSB 2000 system. It consists of doubled, safe micro-computer systems which are assigned for the control and supervision of a certain function. The modules of the field level are closed units with defined interfaces. Between the different levels and within the modules data are transmitted via the CAN bus .

In/out module

The in/out module offers 16 inputs and 8 outputs and is used – independent of the module – wherever such interfaces (relay control, key locks) have to be operated. This module is identical in construction with the in/out module of the level crossing system BUES 2000.

CIF module

The CANInterface module (CIF-BG) enables the telegram-oriented communication with the &dbquo;intelligent field elements“ (e. g. axle counters, signals, ÖBE auxiliary local operating units via the CAN bus. In order to manage large distances, the transmission rate of the internal CAN bus is reduced from 200 kBaud to 10 kBaud on the element bus (EBUS).

STRENET module

The STREckenNETz module (STRENET-BG) realises the interface to the line modem which allows communication with the neighbouring operating point on the line. For the fail-safe realisation of the closed line channel, data are secured through encryption algorithm.

WST module

The points control module (WST module) controls the point machines. For this purpose, the four-wire circuit is switched over between the operating mode interlocking and supervision via fail-safe pluggable signal relays (Hengstler). A WST module is able to control up to four point machines.
