All components of the different field devices undergo the process of aging. Due to wear and tear, the aging effect starts after a few years for some of the mechanical parts of the equipment. In order to prevent this “evolving” aging process, Scheidt & Bachmann has developed life cycle management where the applicable components are identified and overhauled or exchanged before the number of failures and disturbances in your operation are increasing. According to Scheidt & Bachmann’s investigations, significant cost savings can be achieved if the right maintenance measures are started at the right point in time. The following chart outlines the difference of the cost development for the two scenarios with and without life cycle management.
