  Menu content in a broad choice of languages is already the international standard for automatic pay stations today. And thanks to the implementation of graphic displays, even the depiction of Chinese or Korean characters is becoming increasingly commonplace. Above and beyond this, S&B is now providing a single machine in which a number of languages with differing graphical characters can be displayed.
With the menu content of the S&B pay stations, visitors to the Star City Casino in Sydney, Australia now have the choice of the following languages: English, Chinese, Korean, Malaysian and French. Additional languages (German, Spanish) can be activated via software.

So, with immediate effect, automatic pay station ‘downlighting’ attachments will be provided in an improved new design.
Its structure now also complements the new 30-series system family.

 The largest car park in Europe, located at the new Allianz Arena stadium in Munich, provides 9,800 general parking spaces stretching over 4 levels in 3 parking garages, and a further 1,200 parking spaces in the underground VIP area. Scheidt & Bachmann supplied the corresponding Car Park Management System, featuring a total of 19 entrances and 20 exits. With the Mifare technology-based Arena-Card, stadium concessions and many other charges can be paid at the exits in addition to the parking fee. Among other things, these cards can be reloaded at the car park’s automatic pay stations. All of the S&B technology functions quickly and smoothly - but at the moment the traffic jams from the autobahn feeder routes are tailing back all way into the car parks!

 The new BMW centre for customer pick-up of new vehicles, visitors to the BMW Museum and the presentation of BMW’s own events is called “BMW-Welt” (‘BMW World’). Scheidt & Bachmann will design, supply and install the sophisticated technology for parking space management. Unusual connecting routes between the parking areas and parking levels along with special payment concepts for special occasions distinguish this system’s novel concept. BMW employees from throughout the world receive a parking authorisation as needed for participation in company events and training activities in the form of their company identity cards. The corresponding authorisation data is automatically fed into the parking system from the BMW booking system. The system additionally controls the entrances and exits for the freight lorry loading area. Control and supervision of the entire facility is conducted independently of opening hours at various workplaces.

APAG Aachen counts on a new Scheidt & Bachmann system |
 The Aachen Car Park Company (APAG) continues to work towards an almost cashless car park future. Since middle of April, Elisen-Galerie has been the first of eight car parks, which has been equipped with the new NEDAP transponder technology by Scheidt & Bachmann.
A small device behind the windshield registers and stores data such as customer number and time of entry and exit. The amount to be paid is then debited from the customer's bank account. The technology can be used both for season ticket and short-term parking. The customer, as in the case of debit card payment in a shop, only has to sign a direct debit form for the monthly settlement. The parking account balance can be checked at any time on the Internet, protected by a password.
The system offers another useful feature: the technology is also suitable for customers who participate in the citywide APAG bonus system. They just insert the parking vouchers from the shops into the ticket slot at the exit. The monetary value will then be credited in the monthly payment. |
